You might be forgiven for thinking that "New York style" just meant "fatter" -- and you definitely won't be dissuaded at Kings Rd's newly opened Brooklyn Bite, where the Big Apple native chef slings crispy-base one-&-a-half-foot 'za slathered in herb-marinaded red sauce (though once you've finished, there'll be none…left). If you are serious about pizzas then you have gotta get a slice of the action here. Stay upstairs and slide into one of the leather benches if you want to tackle one of the biggest pizzas known to man. Served on a raised platter, these bad boys are as good as they are big, so add extra toppings and don’t bother sharing, because here it ain’t caring. Read full article
Brooklyn Bite is following a new, rather unusual trend that is emerging in west London. Where once there were just neutral shades of beige and OTT chandeliers, a taste of Shoreditch has started to encroach on the stomping ground of the rich and very rich. And so gone are the fancy fittings and shiny surfaces, replaced instead by a laid back, industrial style space. Read full article

Serving up libations and dough-based feasts fit for a king, Brooklyn Bite is set to be as up-market as a speakeasy pizzeria can get. 5 Things You Need to Know About Brooklyn Bite
There'a new pizzeria in town: Brooklyn Bite - the authentic New York-style restaurant is now open on the King's Road in Chelsea. Here's what you need to know:

1. Create your perfect pie from a wide range of toppings including everything from halal pepperoni, pineapple, red onions, artichoke or meatballs.
2. If your eyes tend to be bigger than your mouth, be warned: the 18-in. pizza is enormous. Even a single slice is pretty filling.
3. Not in the mood for pizza? Choose from other authentic New York-style offerings including calzones, subs (meatball, cold cuts, sausage and peppers) as well as Oreo cheese cake and Brooklyn Larger.
4. They don't deliver, but you can take away either the 18- or 12-inch pie or even just a slice.
5. There is a downstairs speakeasy/cocktail bar where you can watch the game, drink beer and order pizza by the slice.

The perfect New York pizza slice should be huge, piping hot and with a thin crust that's foldable so you can eat it more easily on the go. Try it: At Brooklyn Bite. The newly opened Chelsea joint offers eat-in and take-away options in the sort of dimensions that New Yorkers appreciate - we're talking 18-inch bases, not a paltry 12-inch. Keep an eye out for a First Look at the place later this week. Read full article
New York-style pizzas and cocktails are the raison d'être of this London branch of the US-based Brooklyn Bite brand. Spread over two floors done out in black and red, BB comes with a cheeky, fun-loving vibe and a family-friendly menu that touts upmarket cold cuts, calzones and NYC pizzas with wacky names – ‘Benny Blanco from the Bronx’ anyone? Be warned: they’re enormous, although the thin bases and piled-up toppings are absolutely delicious. Chelsea's glitterati can head to the subterranean speakeasy lounge for glamorous cocktails. Great Pizza at Brooklyn Bite
So Brooklyn Bite has finally opened on the King’s Road and it was so worth the wait! The interior feels like it has opened up since its last incarnation, so there isn’t that crammed feeling anymore. For starters, the bf and I shared a dish of meatballs which were melt in your mouth succulent. And for our pizza of choice, we picked the 12 inch Fugetaboutit, which includes red sauce, mozzarella, pancetta, ham, pepperoni and salami. The great thing about this pizza is the texture of its ingredients. The meat is actually meaty. You can bite into the pieces ham instead of feel slivers of meat slide into your mouth. This is really something to get your teeth into! Read full article
